A frame, a moment, the magic of an instant.
2024. Late April. The first warm sun. In the inland, the rays of the sun arrive later than they do on the coast. In this season, the rains have calmed the desire to feel the warmth on the skin.
But now... now the sun gently rests, anticipating a bright spring. The clear sky makes even the furthest stranger feel at home. And everything starts to bloom again.
Piazza San Nicola, in Turi, is a small square that once hosted a church dedicated to Saint Nicholas. Today, it is an oasis of peace where people share a smile every day.
The few elderly residents move their "sèggie" outdoors and spend their peaceful time in the sun, enjoying the warmth of a season that’s advancing, with the fragrance of freshly washed laundry warming by the minute.
In Turi, time has stopped. The ancient village has remained authentic in its intentions. It silently tells stories of alleys and friendship. The spirits tell of the serenity of a non-touristy village, one that moves with the simplicity of a sophistication from another time.
Turi is home. For any wanderer without roots, it is home.
